Associate Professor, Brock University. Canada.  Although I am now a tenured associate professor in Canada, my latest book is really a culmination of my 25 years as a language teacher and language teacher education in Asia (18 years in South Korea and 7 years in Singapore). In South Korea I was director of the Foreign Language Institute (as it was known then) at Yonsei University in the early ‘80s, then a professor at Duksung Women’s University, a professor at Korea University in the English Education Department, and finally back to the English Department at Yonsei University before I left for Singapore. While in Singapore, I was at Nanyang Technological University, National Institute of Education for seven years as a language teacher educator. I really enjoyed my time living and teaching in Asia and in fact I am a founding member of Asia TEFL. Recent publications include Professional Development for Language Teachers, (2005, with Jack C. Richards, Cambridge University Press); Reflective Practice in Action: 80 Reflection Breaks for Busy Teachers (2004, Corwin Press); and Reflecting on Classroom Communication in Asia (2004, Longman).  Email: tfarrell@brocku.ca
