Area of Coverage: At the time of foundation, Asia TEFL shall initially concentrate on building a membership base in countries and territories of Northeast Asia and Southeast Asia, an area reaching from western Russia to Indonesia and from Japan to Myanmar. It is envisioned that Asia TEFL will be able to expand to include the countries of South Asia, Central Asia, and the Mideast. However, from its foundation, Asia TEFL will welcome members from any part of Asia.
Affiliates: Asia TEFL shall allow national and regional associations of teachers of English to speakers of other languages to become affiliates of Asia TEFL as equal partners. Asia TEFL shall keep affiliates informed of the Association's activities, exchange academic and association information of mutual interest, and other activities such as the possible allocation of vetted presentation slots for affiliate members at Asia TEFL conferences. Association publications shall also be exchanged with each affiliate. |
