Special hotel room rates are available to participants of the 2005 Asia TEFL Conference if reservations are made NO LATER THAN September 1. You may ask the Conference Organizing Committee to help find a roommate for you in order to share the cost of a room, if you desire. The discounted rates are indicated below.

China Resources Hotel (Conference Venue): Twin Bedroom (two single beds): 280 RMB/night (about US$35) for one or two persons. Single Bedroom (one double bed): 320 RMB/night (about US$40), only 20 single rooms available. Superior Room (two single beds): 400 RMB/night (about US$50) for one or two persons, only 20 superior rooms available. For all, breakfast is not included.

Presentation and City Tours. Presentations will be made during the full three days of the Conference, November 4-6th. After the Conference (on Nov. 7th), full-day tours of the host city of Beijing are available (Route A: The Great Wall and the Ming Tombs; Route B: The Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace). Reservations may be made on Nov. 3rd (Registration Day) and the payment is made on-site.

Getting to the Conference Venue

By Shuttle Bus and Subway:

You may take the shuttle bus from Beijing Capital Airport to Xi Dan (every 30 minutes, 16 RMB) and then take the subway, Line 1 (3 RMB), to Si Hui Dong Station, which is a 5-minute walk from China Resources Hotel, the Conference Venue. It usually takes one hour from the Airport to Xi Dan and half an hour from Xi Dan to the Conference Venue.

By Taxi:

From Beijing Capital Airport, take a taxi directly to China Resources Hotel. It usually takes 20-30 minutes and about 80 RMB to get to the China Resources Hotel.
